Our history
Colombo Ermanno & C. s.n.c. has been operating since 1960 in the industrial flexible packaging sector for the chemical, civil and military industries, as well as for the pharmaceutical and medical industry.
Thanks to the founder, Mr. Ermanno's initiative and vision, the company has managed to improve the quality of its products and the efficiency of its processes over time. It has also implemented parallel processes such as cutting various materials into strips and texturing yarns in PPL.
The updating of plants and control equipment has allowed us to meet the demands of a constantly evolving market.
Research, experimentation and continuous improvement have elevated the quality levels of the customized products we produce for each customer.
Competence, commitment, and reliability have always been our guiding values. Along with these, the ability to adapt to customer needs and the willingness to collaborate have allowed us to build stable and lasting business relationships with the majority of our clients.

The milestone
1960
On the initiative of Mr. Ermanno and with the help of his father Carlo, Colombo Carlo e Figlio is born in Busto Arsizio, via Ferrara. The business starts with 1 extruder, 1 three-color printer, and 1 pedal welder.
1966
The company becomes Colombo Ermanno. The business begins to expand, and there are already 2 extruders.
1968
The company moves to via Bruno Raimondi (formerly via Alcamo), where Mr. Ermanno acquires 1000 square meters of land and builds a new laboratory. Production will remain here for the next 40 years.
There are now 3 extruders and 2 welders.

1970
The first cutter is installed.
1980
Production continues to grow: there are 5 extruders and an equal number of welders (all automatic).
1983
Mr. Ermanno and his wife Luciana establish the family business Colombo Ermanno.
Incorporation of the family business
1999
The company receives the "Civiltà del lavoro – città di Varese" award. The recognition rewards the commitment, entrepreneurial spirit, professionalism, and ability of the company and the people within it for contributing to the economic and social development of the community.

2000
On February 29, Colombo Ermanno & C. s.n.c. is established.
2001
A new cutter is installed.
2008
Unable to further develop the activity, production is moved to the new 1500-square-meter production site in the industrial area.
2011
The company achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification.
2018
A new welder is installed.

We have installed automatic control systems in our facilities to reduce waste in our processes. Moreover, for over 40 years, all the waste we generate has been completely recycled.
